Marangwanda Wins DGC Monthly Mug

Outstanding golf, competitive spirit, and impressive scores highlighted the July Monthly Mug tournament, held on Saturday, July 4, at the Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club (DGC), where golfers from all handicap divisions competed for top honours.

DGC Golf Competition Secretary Abid Omari congratulated all participants for their excellent performances and praised the growing standard of competition showcased throughout the event.

The biggest prize of the day went to Agripah Marangwanda, who emerged as the Overall Winner – Best Net Score after carding an exceptional -6

In addition to lifting the prestigious Monthly Mug Trophy, Marangwanda also received a return ticket to Dubai.

Division Winners
Competition across all divisions remained close, with the following players taking top honours:

Division A – Men (0–9 Handicap)
Winner: Kunal Lakhani (-2) – 200,000 TZS Fuel Voucher and Trophy

Runner-up: Ally Shariff (-1) – Trophy
Division B – Men (10–18 Handicap)

Winner: Abid Omari (-2) – 200,000 TZS Fuel Voucher and Trophy

Runner-up: Mohammed Gulamali (-2) – Trophy
Division C – Men (19+ Handicap)

Winner: Imani Alfayo (-4) – 200,000 TZS Fuel Voucher and Trophy

Runner-up: Ally Hazam (-3) – Trophy
Ladies Division

Winner: Linda Natai (-5) – 200,000 TZS Fuel Voucher and Trophy

Runner-up: Timea Chogo (-1) – Trophy

Nearest to the Pin: Subira Gudadi
