Hefty prizes await at Sea Cliff August Golf Challenge

Sea Cliff Resort & Spa Golf Club of Zanzibar is gearing up for its August Monthly Challenge on Saturday, 29 August 2026, with Club Captain Tazio Bercelli promising an exciting competition and attractive prizes for the winners.
Bercelli said sponsors have lined up great prizes for the leading players as members prepare to showcase their talents in the 18-hole Stableford competition.

He said the August event will also provide an important build-up to the prestigious CEO Golf Day, scheduled for 26 September 2026, which will be the first edition to be hosted by Bercelli and Club Vice Captain Collins Chemng’orem in their current leadership roles.
The Club Captain thanked the August event sponsors — Sea Cliff Resort & Spa, Villa Kiva, Zanzi Resort, United Petroleum and Auric Air — for their continued and tireless support of the club's tournaments.
Bercelli also encouraged members to help increase participation, particularly among women golfers.
“Now let's make the 29th of August even bigger! Spread the word, bring your friends, and let's especially try to get more ladies involved. We know we can grow that part of the club too.”

The August challenge comes after Patrick O’Rourke maintained his superb form by winning the Sea Cliff Resort & Spa Golf Club of Zanzibar July Monthly Challenge on 25 July.
O’Rourke carded an impressive 39 Stableford points to comfortably top the leaderboard and claim his second monthly challenge trophy of the season, following his victory in the April Challenge.
Club Captain Bercelli finished runner-up with 35 points, while Vice Captain Chemng’orem completed the podium in third place with 34 points.

O’Rourke’s latest victory adds to a competitive season in which Chemng’orem won the May Challenge and Bercelli claimed the June title.
The August Golf Challenge will feature an 18-hole Stableford competition, with an entry fee of $53 per person.
The fee includes, green fee
golf cart, driving range practice and
lunch.
With attractive prizes on offer and the club looking to build momentum towards September’s CEO Golf Day, members are being encouraged to turn out in strong numbers and invite friends to join the competition.
