O'Rourke Bags Second Sea Cliff Challenge Title

Patrick O'Rourke maintained his superb form by winning the Sea Cliff Resort & Spa Golf Club of Zanzibar July Monthly Challenge on July 25, adding to his April title.

O'Rourke carded an impressive 39 Stableford points to comfortably top the leaderboard and claim his second mponthly challenge trophy of the season.

Club Captain Tazio Bercelli finished runner-up with 35 points, while Club Vice Captain Collins Chemng'orem completed the podium in third place on 34 points.

Nice Jenda emerged as the Ladies' Winner after returning an impressive 33 Stableford points.

Bercelli also claimed the Longest Drive prize on Hole 17, while Murtaza Jivi won the Nearest-to-the-Pin award on Hole 18.

The July Challenge continued another successful season of monthly competitions at Sea Cliff Resort & Spa Golf Club. 

O'Rourke's victory adds to an impressive campaign that has already seen him lift the April Challenge trophy, while Chemng'orem captured the May title and Bercelli won the June Challenge.

Speaking after the prize presentation, Club Captain Bercelli thanked players and organizers for another memorable day of golf.

"A big thank you to Sophie (Nyanjera), our Club Manager, and her team for putting together another brilliant tournament. Great course, tough competition, and some really impressive golf, well done to all the winners," said Bercelli.

He also expressed appreciation to the event sponsors—Sea Cliff, Villa Kiva Zanzibar , Zanzi Resort, United Petroleum, and Auric for their tireless support.

Looking ahead to the next event, Bercelli encouraged members to help grow participation at the club.

"Now let's make the 29th of August even bigger! Spread the word, bring your friends, and let's especially try to get more ladies involved, we know we can grow that part of the club too."

The next event on the club's calendar is the August Monthly Challenge, scheduled for Saturday, August 29.
